(More customer reviews)I bought this filter thinking that it was made by Holmes, it is not. This was not a problem though as I have had filters from this other company before. The company is BestAir (aka Endust). The material around the filter is not the usual black but silver looking and I think it is made of metal and very strong. It is also coated with an antibacterial treatment. I would definately order this filter again.
