(More customer reviews)My dehumidifier lasted a total of 6 months which unfortunately was over 2 years time (3 months each summer). Of course customer service offers an authorized service center which meant $100 just to look at it. The unit was a consumer report best buy and unfortunately they missed the mark. When it did work it was effective but very noisy. There is a pinhole somewhere in the coolant lines as the Freon has slowly leaked out to the point where as soon as you turn it on it starts to freeze up. It is a sealed system meaning the there are no fitting to leak or valves to refill from. I called the corporate headquarters and left voice messages for the product manager Shawn Pearson to please call me back. I never received a response. I emailed the President James E. Lightfoot and again no response. That alone tells me that the company could care less about customers and I should shop elsewhere. It was the 1st and last Danby product I will purchase. I bought a Frigidaire and it works great!
