It does hold it's shape/stands up and seems to work like the original one did.

(More customer reviews)Filter was narrower than original - 7 1/4 inch - should have been 8" so had to cut from length to make 1 inch piece to fill gap! Fortunately longer than original so cutting and piecing was possible but inconvenient. Dimensions should be 19 inch x 8 inch x 1 inch - if was available this would be perfect!!

Removes all minerals from the water it evaporates! Minerals are left on the evaporator sleeve and are not blown into the airstream to collect in the living area. For optimum performance, replace filter every two months or, in hard water areas, more frequently if necessary.

(More customer reviews)These are not OEM pads, they are the cheap-o replacement pads. I gave them a try (to save money) and I regret it. When I use these pads the humidifier can not humidify the house adequately.
I believe the problem is the foam that they are made from. The holes are too small/tight and the air does NOT flow through them. That means they are very inefficient.
I am very unhappy with these filters and will never buy them again. Since I bought 4 of them I will also end up throwing away three of them. Learn from my mistake!

It is adequate, and it fits the Bionaire Clear-Mist humidifier, but it is a cheap-looking filter, as opposed to the Bionaire filter that came with the humidifier. In my opinion, it is too expensive for what it is.
