(More customer reviews)We bought our humidifier two months ago and have already gone through two filters. Despite the fact that we change the water in our humidifier daily, the filter quickly start smelling very moldy. It also seem to disintegrate rather quickly.
I'm happy with the Hamilton Beach humidifier, but wish that the filters lasted a little longer.

Kenmore 8 gal. Humidifier Review

(More customer reviews)This model has three fan settings: whisper (doesn't put much humidity into the air at all), loud (puts humidity into the air), and louder (also puts humidity into the air). So if you want a sufficient amount of humidity, you're going to have to deal with lots of noise. I needed humidity, so I figured that I'd just have to deal with it.
Refilling it (which has to be done daily) is a real pain. Unlike the 12-gallon model which has a side-fill spout, the spout for this one is on the bottom. Good luck fitting this one in your kitchen sink to refill.
Then after about 4 months, the motor burned out!!
I also own a Kenmore 12-gallon model. That one is much better. Save youself the trouble and buy the 12-gallon model. It is much better in all areas.
