(More customer reviews)I bought this product for my infant's bedroom. I completed a ton of research looking for something safe, effective, easy to fill, quiet, and leak-proof. I can not say enough about this product. My husband and I love it, and our baby's room is wonderful to be in because of it. I researched many other products, and the chief complaints were the difficulty to fill and leaking.... however this humidifer had the best reviews and I can see why....I love it. I wish they made on just like it, and as effective, for adult rooms... :) This is a worry free product, a great buy, worth the money and I am so glad we purchased it. I recommend it to all parents and cant tell you how much I think of this product.

(More customer reviews)My biggest complaint is that I have to refill it everyday and its awkward to carry the base when it has water in it. Next time I buy I humidifier I will get one that holds more water. Also when you go to refill it you have to take the motor top off and lay it somewhere dripping wet. It could definitely be designed bettter, but it works. You don't see the stream of moist air coming from it (maybe because its not heated) but moist air definitely comes out.
Anyway it works just fine, but its no frills. I wouldn't pay more then $20 for it though.

(More customer reviews)I like to use this type of product to add a pleasant scent in our home and yes, it does work. Different scents are available in this brand and I like the apple cinnamon aroma best. It seems to be the most robust scent additive out of the others available. It is simple to use but is best to add the liquid to the humidifiers water after filling the container otherwise foam is created taking up water space.
I only use this product on occasion because if you think about it, it is not a cheap way to fill your home/room with a pleasing smell. The concept is great but not affordable for me with constant use. You can add more liquid per gallon of water to increase the strength of aroma which is what I need to do for my satisfaction. For this reason, cost per gallon of water, I am rating this product with 4 stars ****.
Other similar products are available such as a tablet-type scent. Just drop the tablet(s) in the water according to the intensity of aroma you enjoy. However, this form of additive is not an economical option either. I have only found this type in a local store so far.
If you're like me wanting value for the money, it is not the most cost effective way to do so. But on occasion, I do find it worth the price.

(More customer reviews)During the winter, the air in our home is VERY dry so I was not turned off by reviews of this humidifier producing too much moisture. Boy was I wrong! After 3 consecutive days of overnight use, the carpet was drenched AND there was this odd white dust on everything within a 2-3 foot radius of the humidifier! I've used it on and off for the last few months and the results were ALWAYS the same....wet carpet and white dust. Needless to say, I am in the process of looking into humidiers that don't drench carpet or produce white dust.

There is a small piece of plastic in the tank that covers the night light on the base that has broken on both of the units. Without this little piece of plastic, the water will not stay in the tank and pours out EVERYWHERE! It is a very cute concept and very appealing to children, but it is just not sturdy enough.

SPT SU-3750 Ultrasonic Penguin-Shaped Humidifier Review

(More customer reviews)I went looking for an affordable ultrasonic humidifier because I was tired of noisy fans and the other problems associated with evaporative machines. After a lot of research, I decided to try this one, partly because of its simplicity and partly because of pricing (i.e. not a disaster if it didn't work out). I was a little dubious about the small reservoir size, but it's not a problem at all. To keep a rather large room at ca. 35% in the dead of winter in MN (very dry subzero weather), one fill will last a bit over 24 hours, and of course longer than that in less extreme conditions. It's perfectly simple to fill and clean, and wonderfully quiet--just a steady hum that I barely notice, with occasional little glurps.
So far I've only seen a little white dust on the device itself, but not on nearby surfaces. The vapor seems to circulate best (i.e. up and out into the room) when it's placed well off the floor. On a 30" shelf, the vapor tended to flow downward, so I used a milk crate to raise it up a bit more, and that solved the problem. The only issue I've had with it so far was a fairly strong plastic/chemical smell at the beginning, but that's been diminishing with use. It's a great improvement over any of my previous humidifiers.

(More customer reviews)I received this humidifier 2 weeks ago after searching for a decent humidifier to replace the one i owned that was famous for robbing me in replacements filter, etc. fees. This thing fits the bill. The design is great, it's super quiet, and gets the job done. In choosing this product i read all the reviews. The reviews that made me hesitant to purchase this were the complaints that said: a)that the furniture on and around the humidifier got wet all the time, b)that the machine did not cut off if empty, as advertised, c)that the machine is hard to clean, and d) that it makes a lot of noise.
With hesitation, I purchased the product in good faith.
I was immediately pleased by the design. I read the owner's manual even though i thought it all was a "no brainer". The manual actually explained a)how to adjust the mist as to not wet the furniture around it, and b)that the machine will turn off when empty, but the light on the device will remain lite...obviously the part those that said the machine did not turn off failed to read, and c)how the machine is easy to clean with a vinegar or chlorine solution.
Cleaning is easy. I recommend using the bleach solution as bleach will kill anything..not to mention it also gets rid of the discoloration.
Lastly, the sound the comes from the machine is very subtle, but when u hear it, it is exactly like the soothing sounds of a filter running on a fish tank. It actually helped me sleep... having this white, very subtle noise.
I like this thing. My skin and nose are happy.
I hope this clarifies some of the ambiguity i found in the other reviews....
